In spring of 2022 my sister and I had a wonderful 2-week experience in Peru that included Lima, Cusco, and the Sacred Valley.  The success of this trip can be almost entirely credited to our tour planners and guides, the incomparable Flamissia and Karupureq.  This knowledgeable and super simpatico couple had given careful thought to designing a travel program that responded to our interests, our needs, and our possible limitations.  

Flamissia is a sensitive American woman who has lived in several European countries.  She has excellent communication skills in 3 languages: English, German, and French.  Karupureq is Peruvian and his first language is, of course, Spanish, but he also knows the ancient Andean language Quechua, which keeps him spiritually connected to his cultural heritage.  Karupureq speaks English well.  His brother is an authentic practicing shaman, which gives him access to partially hidden, deeper aspects of Inca culture.  The couple offers an unusual wealth of knowledge and insights. 

We were very much interested in Inca history and culture, with special emphasis on learning about the sacred ways that the Inca and their descendants understand and celebrate the world.  Flamissia and Karupureq met this interest perfectly.  They first guided us around Cusco and the nearby site of Sacsayhuaman, helping us to understand the significance of these places. They took us to Machu Picchu where, again, these guides provided not only a world of information but helped us get a deeper understanding of the spiritual dimensions of what we saw. 

But Flamissia and Karupureq also took excellent care of us regarding creature comforts.  They found just the right hotels: friendly, clean, comfortable, convenient, but not too expensive.  We stayed for 3 nights in a wonderful house in the Sacred Valley, where we could enjoy all the modern conveniences as well as proximity to Inca sacred sites.  The couple took us to high-quality but not extravagant restaurants where we enjoyed both familiar and exotic Peruvian dishes.

For my sister and me, senior citizens both, it was wonderful to have Rosamarie and Marco plan all the details of travel, of sight seeing, and of lodging, and to have full confidence that we would be well taken care of.  The extra dimension of their spiritual understanding and sophistication was a rare and lucky find.  We can hardly wait to return to Peru and have them guide us to many more fascinating features of this unique country.

I want to thank Karupureq and Flamissia for organizing a tour for me and my family to visit Peru in June 2022. My 12 day visit to Peru was an unforgettable experience. Though I have traveled all the corners of the Earth, I consider my visit to Peru a highlight in my life.

FLamissia and Karupureq are an ideal team as travel consultants. Karupureq, a native of Peru and certified tour guide, guided us to the most significant places in Peru which included Cusco during the June festivities, Machu Pichu, and many lovely places in the Sacred Valley.

Karupureq freely shared Peruvian history, archeology, geography, culture and mysticism with us, giving us a deep insight in the true story of the land and its people.

Flamissia was the ultimate caretaker who made sure all bus, train and taxi trips were perfectly aligned and all hotel and AirBnB visits were suitable and delightful as well as most comfortable. She introduced us to special foods and fruits of the country, and she was always advising us on the right equipment for our many wonderful outings.

The whole trip was planned by this excellent team most carefully and thoughtfully. Timing, altitude, level of stress for walking – all was taken into consideration to allow us to get the fullest experience from our trip.

I have been on many tours around the world, but have never enjoyed such personal care, combined with expert knowledge of the place. I brought back lots of photos, books, knitted scarves and sweaters – but best of all, I brought back precious and happy memories of a unique place I would love to return to.
